Fall in love with this sweet and tart Blueberry Matcha Latte for a smooth and awakening energy boost. Finishing with the blueberry cold foam is just a cherry on top. This aesthetic matcha latte is so easy to make yet perfect for romanticizing small moments at home.

The one thing missing in matcha green tea, I believe, is tart flavor! The homemade blueberry coffee syrup adds a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness to brighten up the rich and bold matcha flavor.
The homemade Blueberry Syrup is so versatile. Try it in a Blueberry Latte! Infusing lavender is also fun, like in Blueberry Lavender Lemonade.

Ingredients for the Best Blueberry Matcha Latte
For the Matcha Latte
- Blueberry Syrup - Store-bought or homemade. Making homemade coffee syrup is so easy!
- Matcha - Use high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha. My favorite is Ippodo matcha!
- Oat milk - Or use any milk you like.
Water Temperature for Matcha - Boiling hot water can ruin the delicate flavor of matcha. The hot water at 176°F (80°C) is the sweet spot to make the delicious matcha. Use the thermometer or try the old-fashioned method. After boiling water, transfer it to an empty cup to cool down a bit. Then pour it into the matcha and whisk!

For the Blueberry Cold Foam
- Heavy Cream - Regular or dairy-free heavy cream.
- Oat milk - Or any milk of your choice
- Blueberry Syrup - Add fruity sweetness and tartness to the cold foam. You can alternatively use maple syrup or honey to sweeten without blueberry flavor.
Instructions

- In a small bowl, sift in matcha powder. Add hot water and use a bamboo whisk to whisk vigorously until smooth and foamy on the surface.

- For the iced matcha latte, fill the glass with ice cubes and pour the blueberry syrup over it.

- Add oat milk and matcha. Top with the blueberry cold foam (see below) if desired. Mix well and enjoy! Adjust the sweetness by adding more syrup to your taste.
- For a hot matcha latte, steam or warm the milk before adding.
How to make Blueberry Cold Foam

- In a jar, add all the ingredients of the blueberry cold foam. Use a hand-held frother to froth until fluffy. You can alternatively shake in a small jar with a lid or blend in a small blender.

- Pour the blueberry cold foam on top of the matcha latte.
Presentation Tip: Drizzle a few drops of blueberry syrup and use a spoon or straw to make a swirl on top of the cold foam!
Variations
- Vanilla - whisk in a dollop of vanilla extract or vanilla paste to matcha, adding cozy flavor.
- Blueberry Pancake Latte - This is one of the trendy lattes on social media. Stir in maple syrup in matcha or espresso shots, and pour it over milk and blueberry syrup. Maple syrup adds a pancake-y vibe.
- Lavender - Try Blueberry Lavender Syrup to add a floral tone to your drink.
- Latte - Blueberry Latte version for the energy boost.
