What Is Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam?
Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam (also called pumpkin cold foam) is an airy and creamy coffee topping made by whipping milk and/or cream with pumpkin puree, warm spices, and a touch of sweetener.
When fall comes around the corner, Starbucks releases fall beverages every year, and the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is one of the signature drinks that people love! Syrup-sweetened cold brew topped with seasonal cold foam creates an irresistibly delicious and cozy fall drink.
You can recreate this signature autumn drink at home with simple and clean ingredients! I used a pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and maple syrup to make a naturally sweet cold foam that tastes like a pumpkin pie!
And you can make pumpkin puree cold foam coffee in 5 minutes, faster than picking up at the drive-through!
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Made with pumpkin puree - adding real pumpkin flavor and providing Vitamin A and fiber. No artificial flavor needed.
- Refined sugar-free - maple-sweetened pumpkin cold foam tastes like pumpkin pie.
- Quick and easy - ready in 5 minutes.
- Customize the sweetness - use a natural sweetener like maple syrup.
- Vegan friendly - use dairy-free heavy cream!
- Perfect for call mornings - cozy, spiced coffee for the chilly autumn morning to brighten up the day ahead.
Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam
- Heavy Cream - The base of the cold foam. You can also use the dairy-free heavy cream.
- Oat Milk - or use any milk of your choice
- Pumpkin Puree - Use canned or homemade puree. Not the pumpkin pie filling.
- Maple Syrup - Caramel-y sweetness from maple syrup with pumpkin puree and warm spices creates pumpkin-pie vibes!
- Pumpkin Pie Spice - for a warm, cozy flavor.
- Vanilla Bean Paste - I love vanilla bean paste over vanilla extract for its strong flavor, but of course, you can use the extract too.
For the Cold Brew Coffee
- Cold Brew Coffee - Use store-bought or homemade!
- Sweetener - Cold brew used in Starbucks' pumpkin cream cold brew is sweetened with vanilla syrup. So if you wish to add a little sweetness to your coffee, a dash of maple syrup will do the job.
How to Make Pumpkin Cold Foam at Home

- In a glass or jar, combine heavy cream, milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, spice, and vanilla paste.

- Use a handheld frother to froth until fluffy and double in volume.

- Fill a glass with ice and coffee. Add maple syrup and mix. Pour the pumpkin cold foam on top. Mix and enjoy immediately!
Making Cold Foam without a Frother: No frother? No problem! Just add all the cold foam ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously in a sealed jar. You can also use a blender. Blend everything in a small blender until fluffy and foamy.

FAQ
Yes! Pumpkin pie spice is a mixture of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Using a dash of each or some of them (don't skip the cinnamon!) will give the same warm, autumn flavor.
Yes! Over the iced matcha latte and iced hojicha tea is a great idea!
Yes! Simply place all ingredients in a mason jar, seal tightly, and shake vigorously for 30–60 seconds until foamy. It won’t be quite as airy as with a frother, but it’s a great no-equipment option.
The cold foam will melt on the hot drinks, so I don't recommend.
