Buffalo Sauce, or Buffalo wing sauce, was invented for Buffalo wings served at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo N.Y. in 1964. Crispy deep-fried chicken wings are tossed in a spicy, salty, tangy sauce with a side of celery and blue cheese.
Classic Buffalo Sauce is a mixture of hot sauce and melted butter, resulting in a creamy texture and rich taste. But if you’re like me and want to avoid too much butter(feels heavy on my stomach) or need to avoid dairy, dairy-free Buffalo Sauce is 100% possible without sacrificing the taste!
Instead of melted butter, use extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil also creates a creamy sauce like it’s the classic one.

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Use high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil for the best result.

How to make Buffalo Sauce
Making this Buffalo sauce is so easy! Just add all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. You can alternatively add all the ingredients in a jar and shake well!

- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
