- Blueberries – You can use fresh or frozen blueberries in this recipe.
- Maple Syrup – You can make wholesome and delicious syrup without refined sugar. I love using maple syrup for this recipe. You can also use honey or agave syrup.
- Lavender – Make sure to use culinary-grade dried lavender flowers! You can find it in the spice or tea aisle at a regular grocery store. You can not use regular lavender flowers at the flower shop, they’re not meant for culinary use and might have pesticides on them.
How to Make Blueberry Lavender Syrup
Making this syrup is so easy!
- In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Use a potato masher or the back of the fork to smash the blueberries. Remove from the heat and let cool for about 5-10 minutes to steep.
- Place a fine-mesh sieve over a jar. Strain the mixture through the sieve to remove blueberries and lavender from the syrup. Use a spoon to mix and squeeze the berries if necessary. Discard the pulp and lavender.
- Use for lemonade and drinks. Let cool completely and store in a clean, air-tight jar in the fridge.
