Ingredients

You’ll need a handful of wholesome ingredients to make this homemade chocolate sauce!

  • Cacao Powder: The sauce of rich chocolate flavor and the powerhouse of antioxidants! Use unsweetened cacao powder in this recipe.
  • Maple Syrup: Maple syrup adds wholesome sweetness to the sauce.
  • Oat Milk: Oat milk is my favorite milk to use in this recipe but you can use other kinds like almond and cashew.
  • Tahini: Tahini adds creaminess without dairy! It gives a subtle nutty and earthy flavor and is packed with vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.
  • Vanilla Extract and Sea Salt: Boost of the flavor.

If the mixture is too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of oat milk for your desired consistency.

Then, remove from the heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool.

Drizzle over pancakes, ice cream, drinks, strawberries, and anything your heart desires!

Storing Tip

Store leftover chocolate sauce in an airtight container in the fridge. The sauce firms up in the fridge, so warm it up slightly over the stovetop or in the microwave until it becomes runny again. Enjoy within 2-3 days.
