Notes
Note 1: Hot water makes matcha bitter. The best temperature to make matcha is 158-176°F (70-80°C). To make 176°F hot water, boil the filtered water and pour it into a glass to cool a bit. Then add it to matcha powder. If your kettle has temperature control, it works amazingly! Can I use frozen bananas to make the banana milk?Yes definitely! Frozen bananas work well. Just blend longer until the desired consistency, or add a splash more milk and sweetener, like maple syrup, to make it less thick. Also, if you like smoothie consistency, try the Matcha Banana Smoothie! How long does the Homemade Banana Milk last in the fridge?Store the banana milk in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. Shake well before use. The color of banana milk can darken slightly, like fresh bananas would when oxidized. But it's still tasty, and you won't see the color when mixed with matcha. What Matcha Powder is the Best for Banana Matcha Latte?I recommend affordable ceremonial-grade matcha blends! Since this drink is mixed with banana milk, you don't necessarily need the most expensive ceremonial matcha. An affordable ceremonial-grade blend makes a smooth latte while its strong flavor balances out the sweetness. Please note that the nutritional information provided is an estimate, and accuracy is not guaranteed.
