Rich foamy matcha melts into creamy banana smoothie to create this Matcha Banana Smoothie! This smoothie is made with simple 5 ingredients and is ready in 10 minutes.
3tablespoonshot waterboil water and pour it in a cup to cool down to 176°F (80°C)
For the banana smoothie
1cupfrozen sliced banana 1.5 banana
⅓cupGreek yogurt
¼cupoat milk
1Medjool datepitted
½cupice cubes
Instructions
Whisk and Blend Method
Make matcha: in a small bowl, sift in matcha powder. Add hot water and use a bamboo whisk to whisk vigorously until smooth and foam on the surface. Set aside.
Make the banana smoothie: in a high-speed blender, add all the ingredients of the banana smoothie and blend until creamy and smooth. Add a splash of oat milk if it's too difficult to blend.
Assembly: In a glass, add matcha and pour the smoothie over the matcha. Mix (but not overmix) and enjoy!
Blender Method
If you don't want to separately prepare the matcha and smoothie, just add all the ingredients in a blender (except hot water) and blend until smooth! Add a splash of oat milk if it's too difficult to blend.
