Matcha Banana Smoothie

Ingredients
  

For the matcha

  • 2 teaspoon matcha
  • 3 tablespoons hot water boil water and pour it in a cup to cool down to 176°F (80°C)

For the banana smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen sliced banana 1.5 banana
  • cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup oat milk
  • 1 Medjool date pitted
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions
 

Whisk and Blend Method

  • Make matcha: in a small bowl, sift in matcha powder. Add hot water and use a bamboo whisk to whisk vigorously until smooth and foam on the surface. Set aside.
  • Make the banana smoothie: in a high-speed blender, add all the ingredients of the banana smoothie and blend until creamy and smooth. Add a splash of oat milk if it's too difficult to blend.
  • Assembly: In a glass, add matcha and pour the smoothie over the matcha. Mix (but not overmix) and enjoy!

Blender Method

  • If you don't want to separately prepare the matcha and smoothie, just add all the ingredients in a blender (except hot water) and blend until smooth! Add a splash of oat milk if it's too difficult to blend.
