Vanilla Matcha Latte with Oat Milk

This vanilla matcha latte is a creamy green tea drink made with matcha, oat milk, and vanilla paste, with a hint of sweetness from maple syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons matcha
  • ½ cup hot water boil water and pour it in a cup to cool down to 176°F (80°C)
  • ½ cup oat(or any) milk I used barista blend
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • Ice cubes for iced latte

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, sift in matcha powder. Add hot water and use a bamboo whisk to whisk vigorously until smooth and foamy on the surface. Set aside.
  • Combine oat milk, vanilla syrup, and maple syrup. For an iced latte, froth the milk using a handheld frother or milk frother. For a hot latte, warm the milk, then froth.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes and add the frothed milk. Pour matcha over it and stir to enjoy. For a hot latte, add milk and matcha into a mug and stir.
  • Sprinkle with a dash of maicha or cinnamon powder on top(optional).
