For Strawberry Honey Syrup
- 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup water
For Iced Strawberry Oat Matcha Tea Latte
- 1½ teaspoons matcha powder
- ¼ cup hot water
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup oat milk
- 3 Tablespoons Strawberry Honey Syrup
- 4-5 ice cubes
- 1 Tablespoon freeze-dried strawberry slices
To make syrup: In a saucepan, combine the strawberries, honey, and water. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and cook until strawberry softened, for 15min. Reduce the heat to low if necessary to maintain a gentle simmer. Let cool and puree using a hand blender. Strain over a metal sieve.
To make a latte: In a bowl, combine matcha and ¼ cup of hot water. Whisk using a bamboo whisk.
In a jar, combine ¼ cup of water, oat milk, Strawberry Honey Syrup, ice cubes, matcha, and freeze-dried strawberries. Secure the lid and shake well to combine. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Tip: You can add ¼ cup of water(not hot) and matcha directly to the jar along with other ingredients to skip the whisking process. Matcha powder is mixed by shaking. But the result could be a little bit powdery texture compared to the whisked matcha.
