Iced Maple Apple Crisp Macchiato(+ how to make it hot)

For Apple Crisp Syrup
(make ½ cup syrup)
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ apple diced
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- A Pinch sea salt
For Iced Macchiato
- 1½ Tbsp. Apple Crisp Syrup plus more to drizzle
- 1 espresso shot
- ¾ cup oat(or any) milk
- Ice cubes
For hot Macchiato
- 1½ Tbsp. Apple Crisp Syrup plus more to drizzle
- 1 espresso shots
- ¾ cup oat(or any) milk
- Cinnamon powder for garnish
Make the syrup: In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients of the syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook until the apple is soft, for 5-10min, stirring occasionally. Strain the syrup. Save cooked apples for other use like oatmeal or yogurt topping.
Iced macchiato: Froth the milk. Add syrup, milk, and ice cubes to a glass. Pour espresso. Top with more syrup and enjoy.
Hot macchiato: Warm up the milk and froth. In a mug add syrup and milk. Pour espresso. Top with more syrup and cinnamon. Enjoy.
