4-5apples(2 lb.)cored and chopped (use Pink LAdy apples for warm pink color)
½cupwater
1Tablespoonmaple syrup
½teaspoonground cinnamon
1cinnamon stickoptional
1Tablespoonlemon juice
Pinchsea salt
Instructions
In a pot, combine all the ingredients. Cover and cook over medium heat until soft, for about 15- 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool.
Remove the cinnamon stick if using. Use a hand blender to puree for the desired consistency, chunky or smooth. Taste and add more maple syrup or water for your desired sweetness and consistency. Divide into individual jars and enjoy.
